Currently I am an Adjunct Faculty since 2018-present. I teach courses to undergraduate and graduate students in the Dance Department at Boyer College of Music and Dance, Temple University in North Philly. I also teach yoga in the School of Public Health and these classes are open to the general student body.
At Temple I have taught online yoga, in-person yoga, senior seminar, graduate seminar, repertory, and choreography. I have also taught blended classes with a mixture of graduate undergraduate students. I teach to the Dance students and serve the general population across the university in my yoga classes, in particular. My courses have up to forty students, and I am currently teaching three courses. I am teaching the practice of wellness through meditation and physical practice. I have worked with over 100 graduating seniors and graduate students to help them prepare for their entrance into multiple career fields and my course materials have been re-taught by my graduate and undergraduates who have continued as educators. My classes ask students to apply the skills and experiences gained during their degree towards defining an artistic vision and shaping a career-life plan. I guide each student towards creating and crafting a portfolio that clearly reflects their goals and vision so that they can begin pursuing and supporting their creative work post-graduation. My course addresses practical, real-world experiences of dancers, offering concrete methods of managing the creative, business, and personal aspects of an artistic life. I have twenty years as a working performance artist in the field of Dance and Interdisciplinary Performance. I co-direct a nationally and internationally recognized performance group, and I have brought this research into my classrooms.
